Riding on the Sheep's back

Australia has been said to be ‘riding on the sheep’s back’ due to the very high quality wool Australia produces. Wool has been one of the best known products from Australia and during the boom of the wool industry many people associated Australia with farmers, the bush, and sheep.

The vision of being a sheep farmer and sheering the sheep really backed up the view of the Aussie farmer in the outback surrounded by bush doing it rough. Even though this view is not as strong anymore it still is a real symbol of Australia.
